It is a relaxed, friendly and a refreshing place to live with the glorious sight of the Laurentian Mountains in the background. The area around the village has undergone something of a transformation in recent years.

Most of the Pointe Solitude property is visible from the patio of the old Mont-Tremblant Hotel - (see location logo. Much investment has lead to the creation of a bright, attractive tourist resort, featuring a range of hotels, villas, shops, bars and restaurants. The area is also highly popular with golfers and boating enthusiasts, with several fine golf courses and crystal clear lakes nearby.

Even the old 200km P'tit Train du Nord railway that used to transport people from Montreal to Mont-Tremblant village has been developed into a fantastic bike track for the summer months, and cross country skiing during the winter, passing through quaint little villages and valleys. The P'tit Train du Nord muti-purpose trail winds past the Pointe Solitude land -  (see location logo) and is a very popular and unique tourist attraction in the Laurentians.

Located on Lac Mercier, the village public beach has a life guard on duty, picnic tables and washrooms. The beach is open from June to August. Once considered a winter resort for alpine skiing/snowboarding and cross-country skiing, Mont Tremblant now offers numerous activities including , dog-sledding and skating. In summer, the busiest season, it offers every imaginable sport, including golf, cycling, watersports, hiking, tennis, inline skating and paragliding, not to mention a host of sporting and cultural events.
